A common use of Debian is for running mail servers.  Anti-spam configuration is
a difficult area of MTA configuration that users often need assistance with.
Requests for assistance in configuration can also lead to new developments of
anti-spam software.

For users to ask questions and also to discuss how software should work and

MTA configuration, antispam etc. is a conversation I might participate
in but it's not something I'd be prepared to subscribe to (yet another)
mailing list to do so, it's not worth the extra burden to me.

It's also on-topic for debian-user@, I believe. So I'm not sure there's
a pressing need for another mailing list. (I am not in the listmaster
team).

I would suggest trying to discuss MTA and anti-spam matters on
debian-user@ for a while and then re-evaluate whether you still want a
separate list afterwards.
