   * What led up to the situation?

Reading the manual and sending a bug report.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Seeing a mismatch between the statement in the manual and what the
script actually does, that is no Debian e-mail address in the script.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

That the manual and the command show correspondence.

That the manual in Debian is updated.

Indeed the modifications in d/patches/bashbug-editor.diff do not seem to
be present in the installed bashbug script:

     $ grep "^BUGBASH" /usr/bin/bashbug || echo not found
     not found
