Hello! The error message "corrupted size vs. prev_size in fastbins" indicates a crash in the C library which can normally not happen when Python code is executed. So I'm not sure this is actually a bug in fs-uae-launcher, it looks more like a problem with gettext. You can try to install fs-uae from stable-backports and see if that helps. Adrian
(You should not remove the bug tracker from the CC) Which is a good indicator that's not a bug in fs-uae-launcher but some other package. Just re-installing packages doesn't magically fix bugs, I'm afraid. I need to install a fresh Debian stable VM next week and see if I can reproduce the problem, but I'm very sure it's not a problem with fs-uae-launcher as even buggy Python code shouldn't be able to provoke a crash in glibc. Adrian
Ok I solved installing the Debian testing version with the following shell commands: $ wget http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/f/fs-uae/fs-uae-launcher_3.0.5+dfsg-1_all.deb # dpkg -i ./fs-uae-launcher_3.0.5+dfsg-1_all.deb # apt-get install --fix-broken
I have backported 3.0.5 for Debian Buster as well, it should be available within the next days. However, I'm still not convinced that this is a bug in fs-uae as a normal Python application doesn't provoke a crash in glibc. When you ran "apt-get install --fix-broken", you probably upgraded some additional packages which fixed the problem - for example, libc6 and related. Adrian
