I removed the unattended-upgrades package, but the
unattended-upgrade-shutdown process is still running running in the
background:

   # dpkg -P unattended-upgrades
(Reading database ... 39928 files and directories currently installed.)
   Removing unattended-upgrades (1.11.2) ...
   Purging configuration files for unattended-upgrades (1.11.2) ...
dpkg: warning: while removing unattended-upgrades, directory '/var/log/unattended-upgrades' not empty so not removed
   Processing triggers for man-db (2.8.5-2) ...
Processing triggers for systemd (241-7~deb10u4) ...

   # pgrep -a unattended
   575 /usr/bin/python3 /usr/share/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrade-shutdown --wait-for-signal

Yes, thanks for reporting it.
The process does no harm and will disappear at next reboot.
Not nice, though.
