Dear Maintainer, When I copy anything (from browser, terminal or other application) and paste in Writer, it paste duplicated. An example: I copied a text like "This is a text example." When I paste using Ctrl+V, returns "This is a text example. This is a text example." This behavior isn't present when I use context menu -> Paste. Only when I use keyboard.
severity 974220 normal tag 974220 + unreproducble tag 974220 + moreinfo thanks Hi Am 11.11.20 um 15:06 schrieb Claudio Ferreira Filho: As for your other bug, this is IMHO not "important". Tried it with konsole and konqueror (as you use KDE) and with firefox to try a non-KDE program. TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE I thought about some x11 vs. wayland difference but a) my VM says x11 anyway and b) it looks like you use drivers outside of Debian for some graphic chips of a company I am not going to name... which apparently then forces x11 anyway. Long story short: works here. Just thinking out loud: Some extra clipboard stuff or stuff doing something with the clipboard running? But then it might also happen on the context menu... Regards, Rene
Hi Rene Could be a problem between KDE and GTK, so I tried a copy & paste from terminal (konsole) to Kate (text editor for KDE, like gedit) and Inkscape. Was normal using "Ctrl+v". When I tried (other time) in Writer, pasted in double again. Other thing was to del the local folders of LO (.config/libreoffice and .config/soffice.binrc), but without success. Nothing. I believe that works fine in your environment, so my question is: what can I do to get more information? On the other hand, I will create a VM and try again this question. I recently upgraded a system from debian 10 to 11 and stumbled on this bug. I purged all packages that remained in state rc from the previous debian version and this solved the problem. JLMA.
I just installed Debian 12 and bug still happens.
Hi Claudio, Mario, Do either of you have security software called warsaw installed, for example to support internet banking? There is an open bug[1] in the LibreOffice bugtracker since Y2021 that reports double-paste behaviour when that package is installed and running. If this is the cause, then there's a possible workaround[2] - does using Shift+Insert prevent the duplication? If we can confirm that the cause is the same, then we can link this bug to the upstream issue (and perhaps communicate further information to them). Hi James Yes. I have this software. Is common in the Brazilian market. I tried now to past a text and it works as expected. For me, this bug can be closed. Regards, Claudio Ferreira Em sex., 5 de jan. de 2024 às 10:57, James Addison <jay@jp-hosting.net> escreveu:
