node-uglifyjs-webpack-plugin is dead since 1.5 years, already carries a patch to not actually use node-uglifyjs but node-terser, and terser will soon see a major backwards-incompatible change that will require even more custom hacks. It seems this package has only one reverse dependency (webpack) and two reverse build-dependencies (node-chai and node-webpack). Seems it is time to replace this package with its successor, https://github.com/webpack-contrib/terser-webpack-plugin Setting severity to serious due to the upcoming breaking change to node-terser. - Jonas -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCgAdFiEEn+Ppw2aRpp/1PMaELHwxRsGgASEFAl/Wee8ACgkQLHwxRsGg ASEm7A/9Ej+JJvvILoUu8D+AwKDF/JYKYo/UDALjSYVODE81lgpQ8QkuQxsIg/yF MKJHD/ZhPoO+MPSApY93rJ+Gsoh5N2vDtT1F7RfbI7kqq8iT08NF3cPyBirbF8Rg ewPUP4gnRQd4bSLOesYzv1w57mESrqd+u7Cw1kPZM9c5S8k1JMTvFwTZjBrNoHu3 nMMgFgkxDO3tHOTy8verRvBfWL7UwfrecBUKTM92SswzBz03j7bj98x17Ra8WtyM 0jihm44SE6urFXJSCRc91Pbse1zG9Pi10GKqiqKKJOZl7hsZ9rGEE68e+GLU8k+L b2cCco0THSb+1HmlI0xJsVuni6PcO+GeijW2UFuQ7Vn80STrLJ4Ots9GEuKRWbNO meo9Q1QfcyJxhVs+XfxPTbKEJr5aipgCgCAy/M9bmuL2ltDx4vLUIokMC9NK37ZO 67WxdrOb91bbCVHisntjsRlmqf7ltUZEIx6pvyS42GW5bdBPyzoZYtqqnGWkJyDz z52DT4Q5FROy/iZRTCyTO+vHAOnMoW7jRYQfPsyrpVn51AF+a439u8FVz6LkNAv+ nnEV1RrZ90/hwNMK4abfIN+ljPsr7LoI+sux1FeDLDerBRvAEo2pr3u9DxiPzYKU Q1AJcIig0X+CrwwMnrpomy34W6WpQ7Qi4aPJdaAPgD5nms4Z6u0= =9occ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

We can replace it after bullseye. Since this does not affect bullseye, we should ignore this for bullseye.
Since Praveen says he wants to replace the package *after* bullseye, it's probably fine to downgrade this bug to "Important" and not have it as an RC bug before the release. Therefore, downgrading it. Cheers, Thomas Goirand (zigo)

We already have node-terser-webpack-plugin in the archive. reverse-depends -b node-uglifyjs-webpack-plugin Reverse-Build-Depends * node-axios * q2-demux * q2-taxa * shaarli So once these packages replace their build dependencies, we can request removal of this package.
