Dear Maintainer,

Please consider applying the scrollback upstream patch
https://st.suckless.org/patches/scrollback/
The Shift+{PageUp, PageDown} version would suffice for me.

Asking the user to use tmux or screen just to get this functionality seems out
of proportion to me.

If for some reason you think this is inconvenient, would you consider including
the scroll utility (https://git.suckless.org/scroll/) with the package?

I know that a scrollback buffer is a much requested feature for st,
however not having one is an explicit design choice made by the upstream
developers, and in general I prefer to package software as upstream
intended it, when possible. This is especially true for suckless
projects, as the developers and users community is very opinionated. For
this reasons I don't plan to include the scrollback patch in the Debian
package.

However testing and possibly including the scroll tool is in my TODO
list. The tool is still considered experimental [1], so maybe I'll poke
its developer before packaging it.
