My hard copy (dated June 1974) clearly has `lovingkindness' here, and at
all other places where the current package (and old versions as far back
as the Git history goes) has `loving-kindness', with two exceptions:
Ps48:9 and Ps119:88, both of which break the line at the point in
question, and therefore can't distinguish.

shows the same result.  Digging at Amazon's `Look inside' feature for

(first one I found which had the `Look inside' feature and /didn't/ have
the line breaks in the same places as my hard copy) shows that these two
also have a single word here.

I conclude that your decision to

was taken in error: it may be what's in the Oxford Engligh Dictionary
and the Book of Common Prayer, but it looks like it's not what's in the
Authorised King James Version bible, which is what this text is supposed
to be.
