Dear Maintainer,

when using kate on wayland and any of the currently opened files changes in the
background, e.g. when using git (rebase/cherry-pick/switch-branch), the edit
area of the window becomes corrupted and unusable. Closing just the changed
file does not end the issue.

This issue only appears when using the plasma wayland session, not with x11.
