Dear Maintainer,

I'm doing this report because since long time, I'm suffering of big performance
issue with this package. As many software are using this librairy (Gnome Web,
Element, Revolt, Evolution, ...), I consider this bug grave as those
performances almost kill those apps. Writting a simple text in simply not
bearable (~300ms to have letter to appear in a mail reply) and about 40% of one
CPU core usage on Gen6 i7.

I tested with testing and experimental package and issue remain the same. It
seems my laptop with a poor resolution (1366x768) doesn't suffering of this
issue. I'm not sure this is relevant, but my current configuration is :

- 4k/60hz screen running on Nvidia GTX 1660 SUPER with proprietary drivers.
- I was not suffering about this issue on stable Buster but appeared suddently
with newer Gnome version (around 3.38.0).
