#986030 manpages.debian.org: Content does no match shipped (deb) version: testing/manpages-de/journalctl.1.de.html

1. Use a current testing system, install manpages-de, change locale
   (if necessary) and issue
man journalctl
and search for "-S, --since=, -U, --until="

Here the text starts with:
Fängt die Anzeige mit neueren Einträgen ab dem angegebenen Datum oder älteren …

2. Navigate to
https://manpages.debian.org/testing/manpages-de/journalctl.1.de.html
and search for "-S, --since=, -U, --until="

Here the text starts with:
Die Anzeige mit neueren Einträgen ab dem angegebenen Datum oder älteren …

Clearly both versions do not match.

If I review the upstream git log, I see:
407f2a66e3f po/de/man1/journalctl.1.po (Helge Kreutzmann 2021-01-06 19:10:56 +0100 1285) "Fängt die Anzeige mit neueren Einträgen ab dem angegebenen Datum oder "
407f2a66e3f po/de/man1/journalctl.1.po (Helge Kreutzmann 2021-01-06 19:10:56 +0100 1286) "älteren Einträgen bis zum angegebenen Datum an. Datumsangaben sollten vom "

With the appropriate git diff command:
-"Die Anzeige mit neueren Einträgen ab dem angegebenen Datum oder älteren "
-"Einträgen bis zum angegebenen Datum anfangen. 18:17:16« sein\\&. Falls der "
…
+"Fängt die Anzeige mit neueren Einträgen ab dem angegebenen Datum oder "
+"älteren Einträgen bis zum angegebenen Datum an. Datumsangaben sollten vom "

So this text is in Unstable since version 4.9.1-1 (February 7th) and
Testing since March 2nd.

So my assumption is that the update mechanism of
manpages.debian.org does not work correctly.

Greetings

         Helge

Hi,
 Source file: journalctl.1.de.gz (from manpages-de 4.9.3-4)

and following the link to the raw man page shows the new content.

I believe this is the same issue as #994761.

The Github issue referenced there includes the comment "However, during
my investigation I realized that we incorrectly store a reference to
the version of the current package, even when incorrectly re-using
older content".
