A patch in version 0.51.0-5.1 causes intltool-merge to use a lock file
for a cache. Unfortunately, the upstream patch did not update the
intltool Makefile.in.in stub to clean up the lock file. This causes
"make distcheck" to fail for projects using intltool. See
https://bugs.launchpad.net/intltool/+bug/1712194.
