Hello,
On upgrading alsa-lib from 1.2.4 to 1.2.5, we are having issues with
the espeakup screen reader. Immediately after the upgrade, the espeakup
audio output is sluggish, as if there were small pieces of silence added
along the sound. I have attached a sample: at the beginning we hear
"space" three times, just like you would hear when running "espeak-ng
space", then I upgrade which produces a bit of output, and eventually we
hear "space" three times again, but distorted a lot, very different from
the "space" at the beginning. On the espeakup side, we get warnings, I
have attached that as well. I guess this is the already-loaded library
which is a bit lost with the newer sets of dynamic modules?
That is really a concern for blind people because the computer becomes
quite unusable until restarting the espeakup screen reader or the whole
computer.
