Dear Maintainer,

VP9 and Opus are modern codecs which greatly improve the quality/size
ratio we can get with free tools.

Please ask upstream if they have any plans to support VP9 and Opus, or
similar public codecs, and include them post-haste in Debian Bullseye
and Bookworm :-)

Both are nice codecs, I agree. :)

May I ask why you do not ask upstream about this yourself?  I suspect
you have more information to provide if upstream ask followup questions.
I doubt the Debian maintainers have any more impact than yourself, and
we are notoriaously short on manpower, so it might take a while until
someone get around to passing this on to upstream.

As far as I can tell, the issue is already reported upstream, and some
ffmpeg instructions are provided in this ticket.
