If I do
  xwd|xloadimage stdin
and click on any window, the colors of that window are all wrong.

  xwd|xv -
and
  xwd|xwud
all do show the right colors, as does
  xwd|xwdtopnm|xloadimage stdin

Looks like a generic problem xloadimage has with loading XWD format
files.  It might be an endian problem - I'm not sure.  It might also
be a problem with the way xloadimage was configured before it was
built.

I'll investigate on a number of different xloadimages.

I vote to close.
It harms Debian project to keep an issue open that long without taking
action, e.g. give a clear statement about the issue (accept fixes, not
valid, ...).

I personally know that the bug is present, FWIW.

Additionally, please just don’t add extra maintainer burden during
the freeze, which is a time where we don’t do uploads anyway, so all
these new bugreports are actively unhelpful at this time.
