My computer's internal microphone does not remain muted after resuming from sleep (suspended to memory). Steps to reproduce: 1. mute microphone via pactl or pavucontrol 2. put computer to sleep by suspending to memory 3. wake computer 4. unlock computer at lightdm prompt Result: microphone is no longer muted Expected: microphone should still be muted
This problem is resolved in pulseaudio version 15.0+dfsg1-4.
It seems that I was mistaken and this bug is not resolved in 15.0+dfsg1-4. The microphone seems to keep its muted status after a reboot but not afer waking from being suspended to memory.
You are running pipewire audio, not pulseaudio, see 'pactl info' Do you have the same issue with pulseaudio?
This appears to be an intermittent bug. Sometimes the microphone remains muted after suspending to memory and waking up, and other times the microphone will be unmuted after waking.
